The Algarve, in the southeastern portion of Portugal, is one place that really amazed me. Crazy, very high cliffs, overlooking the ocean, whipped every day by the wind and very strong waves. Here, the true master of the landscape is the ocean that shapes rock and vegetation with its force.
High marl obelisks, endless beaches and sharp cliffs of ancient rock, above all only the Atlantic Ocean dominates. It is in this place that I really, for the first time, observed the force of the ocean. Violent waves crashing on sharp cliffs, truly primitive landscapes reminiscent of truly ancestral times. Only one thing has remained unchanged in the history of these ancient rocks, these cliffs and these beaches: the faint light of the stars that illuminates the coasts of Portugal. Thus, in this image, the night sky blends completely naturally with its terrestrial part, a landscape as primitive as it is fascinating.
The Milky Way, on the horizon, stands out from the sea, crossing with the Zodiacal Light forming a galactic V in an orange air glow tinted sky. A unique show, a union between heaven and earth.
