The P-47M was a variant of the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter aircraft that was developed during World War II. It was designed to be a high-performance fighter plane that could compete with the advanced German fighters of the time. The P-47M was powered by an improved version of the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine, which gave it a top speed of over 460 miles per hour and a service ceiling of over 42,000 feet.
