This is a panoramic image of the Milky Way arch over a particular rock formation in the Spitzkoppe Nature reserve, Namibia.

I took several separate single photographs in order to compose a panoramic picture of that sight. Pre-edited in Lightroom, stitched in PTgui Pro, edited in Pixinsight and finalized in Photoshop.

This is a photograph from my astro adventure in Namibia, probably the last one I took before taking off back to Italy, where I live.

For this reason I feel quite fond of this picture.

That night I was there staring at the stars of the austral night, totally lost in that wonder. I was feeling like myself was sublimating in the nature around me, dissolving my shape in those boulders and rocks, in those stars and galactic dusts. I felt totally embraced by the night.
